The challenge
ABM needed a more efficient way to manage commuting, planning and vehicle locations.
ABM is one of the larger construction companies in Belgium, and to optimise the entire logistics operation Peter De Man, who manages the light commercial vehicle fleet, wanted to use a track & trace system.
The system had to map home-to-site travel, simplify planning and show in real time where every vehicle is.
We save a couple of hours a week on entering data, and we are now certain that everything has been recorded accurately. That way we gain twice over.
The solution
GeoDynamics gave ABM an efficient system for fleet location, work history and verification of hours worked.
For our account managers, ABM’s story was one they wanted to start thinking through straight away.
That thinking produced a watertight system in which the team at ABM can check the exact position of the fleet at any point in the day, call up the history of a working day and cross-check the hours worked.
All of these gains came on top of the precise calculation of home-to-site travel.
