Since its expansion in 1989, Danilith has grown into an established name in Belgium, the Netherlands and France. With a strong focus on quality, innovation and customer-led building, the fourth generation continues to build the family business further, while staying true to the long-term vision that made Danilith a success story.

Strong growth left Danilith facing a challenge: calculating mobility allowances for its 250 employees — the travel compensation set out in the Belgian construction sector’s collective labour agreement — was a time-consuming process, not least because of the number of vehicles and different workplaces involved. With 66 vehicles out on sites in Flanders, Wallonia and the Netherlands every day, it became ever harder to calculate the mobility allowances correctly and to keep a clear overview of the fleet.

The old system was no longer up to the job, and with legislation becoming stricter, accurate and efficient record-keeping mattered more than ever. Danilith therefore went looking for a solution that would simplify these processes and tackle both problems at once.

When Woningbouw Danilith saw a demo of the GeoDynamics system, they were immediately enthusiastic. The ease of use of IntelliTracer stood out. Mobility allowances were simple to calculate, and the real-time tracking of their vehicles gave them the overview they needed. What convinced them most, though, was how easily the system would help them comply with the collective labour agreement (CAO) for the Belgian construction sector.

Alongside the black box and the badge reader, GeoDynamics also installed a button in the company’s vehicles. This button makes it easy to identify who is the driver and who is a passenger. That matters, because the mobility allowance depends not only on the kilometres driven but also on who is in the vehicle. With this addition, Danilith can now calculate the allowances precisely, and the company knows that everything is done by the book.

With the new GeoDynamics solution, Danilith has not only saved time, but also gained the means to prevent misuse and improve the efficiency of its planning. The system now keeps everything in order from start to finish, so both the workers and the back office can get on without any trouble.
