The challenge
Excel spreadsheets for time registration and unstructured fleet management caused administrative delays and inefficiency.
Excel spreadsheets for time registration and unstructured fleet management caused administrative delays and inefficiency.
Like many other companies, RTS used to rely on Excel spreadsheets for time registration. At first this looked like a simple solution, but small errors in data entry or calculations created extra work for the administration team.
Recording working hours manually took a lot of time and sometimes led to delays or inaccuracies, particularly when sending the data on to the payroll provider.
On top of that, fleet management was unstructured and hard to keep control of, which caused delays during call-outs and emergency repairs in particular. Without a clear overview of its vehicles, RTS could not respond quickly and effectively to urgent situations.

The GeoDynamics solutions reduce the administrative workload at RTS and improve its operational efficiency.
The solution
To improve its time registration, RTS started working with GeoDynamics, which allowed the company to fully automate its time registration. After a short weekly check of the data, the hours worked are sent straight to the payroll provider, saving a significant amount of time and minimising the risk of errors. Administration has become considerably easier as a result.
The RTS fleet was also fitted with the track & trace system from GeoDynamics, so every vehicle, large or small, can be followed in real time. The system gives RTS an overview of every vehicle, making it easy to respond quickly to changes in the schedule or to unexpected call-outs. Central registration and a real-time view of the fleet mean technicians are on site quickly when a fault or breakdown occurs, which improves overall efficiency and customer satisfaction.
“We have worked with GeoDynamics since 2021 and can recommend them to installation companies with around ten employees. The solutions GeoDynamics offers have allowed us to streamline our processes and save time, which has helped us serve our customers faster and more efficiently.”
